I expect best performance from all players: Al Duhail coach Regragui

Al Duhail coach Walid Regragui spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Wakrah.

“We worked during the last period to recover, after we played in the AFC Champions League match, which we lost and we were not satisfied with our display, especially in the second half.

“We must now put that chapter behind us by focusing on Al Wakrah game. In previous games, we noticed a decline in performance, which is due to the players’ physical problems. We must work to correct it at the earliest.

“I am still waiting for the best performance from all players. They should know that they are playing for Al Duhail, who are an ambitious team always playing for titles.

“We do not look for excuses for the team's performance, but we have many absences such as Bassam Al Rawi, Yousef Msakni, Ismail Mohammed, Luis Martin and Mohammed Muntari. This is the reality and there is no doubt that such absences affect the performance,” said Regragui.
