Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 9 match against Al Kharaitiyat.
“We will face Al Kharaitiyat, a team that we respect and has been providing a balanced level in all its matches and playing in a distinctive way regardless of its results. We will strive to field the players required for victory and we must work to correct our mistakes as we seek to return to the winning path. My focus is on working on the field, during matches and after losing, as well as to improve performance and work for the better.
“Our fans deserve to be presented with a distinguished performance that satisfies them with good result. They have the right to know what happened to the team in the last match, where we committed mistakes that are part of the game even though we were in control of the match at its start.
“I have full confidence in the ability of our players to provide their best and show their best technical level in the upcoming matches. We’ve a group of promising players who are now playing with the team, such as Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Hazem Shehata and Mohammed Al Abbasi,” said Jovovic.
Al Ahli player Jassim Mohammed said, “Facing Al Kharaitiyat is very important and winning over them is necessary in order to preserve the team’s position in the top half of the table. We have to show the true spirit and our goal is to collect three points.”
