The stage is set for the Qatar Clasico between Al Sadd and Al Rayyan in Week 6 of the QNB Stars League on Saturday, 22nd September. The kick-off is at 17:55 at the Al Sadd Stadium.
Al Rayyan are on top of the standings with 11 points, while Al Sadd are a close second with one point less.

They are Hamed Ismail (Al Sadd), Musaab Khader (Al Sadd), Khalfan Ibrahim (Al Rayyan), Rodrigo Tabata (Al Rayyan), Saoud Al Hajri (Al Sadd), Ahmed Abdelmaksoud (Al Rayyan) and Ali Sanad Al Naimi (Al Rayyan). Their present club is given in parenthesis.
Hamed played for Al Arabi and Al Rayyan before joining Al Sadd.
Musaab moved from Al Sadd to Al Rayyan before returning to Al Sadd.
Khalfan first played for Al Arabi, then represented Al Sadd and now Al Rayyan.
Tabata played on loan for Al Sadd and returned to Al Rayyan.
Abdelmaksoud was a product Al Sadd’s youth programme. He represented a few clubs before joining Al Rayyan.
Saoud is a former Al Rayyan goalkeeper. He is one of the best goalkeepers in Qatar.
Ali Sanad started off with Al Sadd before switching to Al Rayyan.
Both teams have brothers in their ranks playing opposite. Mohammed Badr Sayyar is representing Al Rayyan, while Ahmad Badr Sayyar is with Al Sadd.
