The Qatar Stars League Management (QSLM) organised a Co-ordination Meeting at its headquarters at the Al Bidda Tower on Wednesday, 19th September, ahead of the QNB Stars League Week 6 match between Al Sadd and Al Rayyan, dubbed the Qatar Clasico.
The match will kick off at the Al Sadd Stadium at 17:55.
QSLM’s Marketing, Sales and Communications Executive Director Hassan Rabea Al Kuwari chaired the meeting.
Al Kuwari said the Qatar Clasico was always a special occasion because of its importance to the passionate fans of both clubs in particular and Qatar football in general.
The top QSLM official announced the launch of an idea called ‘Fan Fair Play’, a joint initiative by the Ministry of Interior and Qatar Stars League, on the occasion of Qatar Clasico.
The new initiative aims at instilling a sense of fair play and true sportsmanship in the fans’ behaviour while they cheer on their teams.
The meeting was attended by QSLM’s Head of Operations Ahmed Al Sayed, Media Affairs Acting Director as well as Head of Local Media Affairs Abdullah Saleh Al Sulaiti, Community Relations Officer Nasser Mubarak Al Kuwari, Stadium Security representative Saeed Mansour, Al Sadd club representative Mohammed Saeed, and Omar Al Azani as well as Abdullah Al Misferi from Al Rayyan club, and representatives from the media and host broadcaster Al Kass.
A number of important matters were discussed at the meeting, such as:
Entry gates for teams, administrators, officials and fans. Match tickets and their selling dates. Co-operation with security men and organisers.

Fans can buy the tickets from the Al Sadd club reception on the following dates:
Wednesday, 19th September (4pm-8pm)
Thursday, 20th September (9am-12noon & 4pm-5pm)
Friday, 21st September (4pm-8pm)
Saturday, 22nd September (two hours prior to the start of the game)

The QSLM is offering attractive prizes to fans. The draw to select winners will be held at half-time of the match.
