QFA President meets ambassador of Croatia

DOHA: QFA President Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al Thani received on Thursday in his office the Croatian ambassador and his accompany delegation. The QFA chief held wide-ranging discussions with Ambassador H E Drago Lovric. The meeting was also attended by QFA Vice President Saud Al Mohannadi. Ali Dawood, Executive Director of the Office of the President, and Mushtaq Al Waeli, Executive Director of the Corporate and Strategic Development Office of QFA, were also present. Matters relating to the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be held in Qatar were also discussed extensively. The development of football in both countries was also deliberated. The QFA President congratulated the Ambassador on Croatia’s “excellent performances” at the 2018 FIFA World Cup where they reached the final in Moscow last week. At the end of the meeting,  commemorative shields were exchanged between the two sides. The QFA Pesident was given the official shirt of the Croatian national team.
