Al Sadd’s Jesualdo Ferreira has been named as the QNB Stars League’s best coach for the month of August, 2018.
Under Ferreira, Al Duhail played four games in the 2018-19 season QNB Stars League (Weeks 1, 2, 3 and 4) and won three of them, while they drew with Al Gharafa (1-1).
The Wolves’ victories were against Al Kharaitiyat (6-0), Al Arabi (10-1) and Al Shahania (4-0).
In the process, Al Sadd kept their lead on top of the standings, ahead of Al Duhail on goal difference after both teams were tied on 10 points.
Ferreira’s men scored 21 goals while conceding just two, with 35 shots on target and nine against it.
According to STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the QNB Stars League, Al Sadd made an average number of 666 passes, out of which 593 were successful. Short passes numbered 424 and forward passes 215.
There were 24.5 crosses (11.5 from the left and 13.0 from the right). They also made 23 tackles and nine dribbles.
Al Sadd made 72 final-third entries and 44 penalty-area entries. Shots for reached 19 and shots against seven. The average number of shots on target was nine.
