Al Duhail’s Djamel Belmadi has been named as the QNB Stars League’s best coach for the month of February, 2018.

Under the Algerian, who is a shrewd tactician and produces consistent results, Al Duhail played four games (Weeks 15, 16, 17 and 18) during the period, winning all of them. In fact, The Red Knights are the only unbeaten side in this season’s QNB Stars League. They have so far notched up 15 victories, the same number as Al Sadd.

Al Duhail garnered 12 points to stay as table toppers with 48 points. They have a two-point lead over second-placed Al Sadd, whom they will play in Week 19 on Thursday, 1st March.

Al Sadd scored a whopping 18 goals from the four games, with 37 shots on target and just eight against it.

And they had conceded only one goal.

According to STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the QNB Stars League, Al Duhail made an average number of 663 passes, out of which 590 were successful. Short passes numbered 410 and forward passes 213.

There were 19.3 crosses (7.3 from the left and 12 from the right). They also made 21 tackles and 12 dribbles.

They made 73 final-third entries and 44 penalty-area entries. Shots for reached 20 and shots against nine. The average number of shots on target was nine.
