Al Duhail’s Djamel Belmadi has been named as the QNB Stars League’s best coach for the months of March & April, 2018.

Under Belmadi, a shrewd coach who has consistently been producing excellent results at both domestic and continental levels, Al Duhail played four games in the last four weeks (19, 20, 21 and 22) of 2017-18 season QNB Stars League during the period and won all of them.

And The Red Knights emerged as the champions with an unbeaten record, the only team to do so this season. They finished with 60 points from 19 victories and three draws.

Al Duhail collected 12 points and scored 18 goals in those four matches, with 35 shots on target and 15 against it. In the process, they conceded seven goals.

According to STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the QNB Stars League, Al Duhail, under the Algerian, made an average number of 614 passes, out of which 528 were successful. Short passes numbered 370 and forward passes 204.

There were 19.0 crosses (7.3 from the left and 11.8 from the right). They also made 18 tackles and eight dribbles.

Belmadi’s men made 65 final-third entries and 40 penalty-area entries. Shots for reached 20 and shots against 10. The average number of shots on target was nine.

Belmadi was the best coach in the month of February as well.
