Al Sadd’s Jesualdo Ferreira has been adjudged the QNB Stars League’s best coach for the months of March and April, 2019.
Under the Portuguese, Al Sadd played four matches in the 2018-19 season QNB Stars League’s Weeks 19, 20, 21 and 22, and won three of them, collecting 10 of the 12 points on offer. They drew one match.
The Wolves’ victories were against Al Sailiya (2-0), Al Ahli (7-2) and Umm Salal (6-1). Al Sadd were held to a 2-2 draw by Al Duhail in Week 20.
The three wins helped Al Sadd stay on top of the QNB Stars League standings and they were crowned as the 2018-19 champions following their win over Al Ahli in Week 21. Ferreira’s men took an unassailable lead with one match to spare. They eventually finished with 57 points and scored a whopping 100 goals in the tournament.
During the period, Al Sadd scored 17 goals while conceding five, with 37 shots on target and 19 against it, according to STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the QNB Stars League.
Ferreira had won the best-coach award in August, November/December combined and February too this season.
