Al Gharafa face Al Rayyan in a heavyweight battle in Week 13 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 18:40 at the Al Gharafa Stadium on Thursday, 23rd January, 2020.
That the highlight game of Week 13 between teams in the top-four bracket will be a crowd-puller is a foregone conclusion, given the strong fan base of Al Gharafa and Al Rayyan.
Al Gharafa are placed fourth with 20 points, while Al Rayyan are second on 28 points. Both teams have many star players in their ranks and that will spice up the contest.
Al Gharafa have been a vastly-improved side from last season. The Cheetahs have six victories, two draws and four defeats so far with a goal difference of +4 (22 goals for and 18 against).
Al Rayyan (28 points) are only two adrift of table toppers Al Duhail. The Lions will target nothing less than full points as they stay as strong title contenders.
Al Rayyan will also look to erase the memories of a 1-4 defeat they suffered at the hands of Al Sadd in the 2020 Qatar Cup semifinal recently.
Similarly, Al Gharafa too have to compensate for their 1-2 loss to Al Shahania in Week 12 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League before the tournament took a break and Qatar Cup was held.
Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa had played out a goalless draw in the first leg.
