Both Qatar SC vs Al Ahli will look to get back to the winning path when they face off in Week 13 of the QNB Stars League on Friday, 23rd November. The kick-off is at 16:00 at the Qatar SC Stadium.
Qatar SC had lost 0-2 to Al Gharafa , while Al Ahli were held to a 1-1 draw by Al Rayyan in Week 12.
It was the first time Al Ahli were dropping points following an amazing run that saw them win four games in a row.
Qatar SC are 10th with 11 points (three wins, two draws and seven defeats). The Kings have a goal difference of -9, having scored 12 and conceded 21.
Al Ahli, on the other hand, are placed a creditable fifth with 19 points. The Brigadiers have six wins to their credit. They drew one match and lost five to have a goal difference of 0 after scoring and conceding 21 goals each.
It is against this backdrop that the teams open the week’s action at the Qatar SC Stadium. It will also mark resumption of the QNB Stars League after a fortnight-long international break that witnessed the Qatar national team play friendlies against Switzerland and Iceland.
On the domestic front, the third round of QSL Cup was played in between. While Qatar SC defeated Al Arabi 2-1, Al Ahli lost 1-3 to Al Khor.
Al Ahli will be keen to storm into the top four, compared to Qatar SC’s target to stay away from the danger zone. That adds to the excitement.
