QNB Stars League Week 14 — Al Gharafa vs Al Sadd

Al Sadd will definitely be hungry for another victory, in their bid to chase Al Duhail in the title race, as they face Al Gharafa in Week 14 of the QNB Stars League on Sunday, 2nd December. The kick-off is at 16:00 at the Al Gharafa Stadium.

The Wolves, currently second in the table, are coming off their 3-0 Qatar Derby victory over Al Arabi in Week 13.

They then beat Al Khor 2-1 on Wednesday, 28th November, in a rescheduled away game from Week 5, with ace Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah scoring both their goals.

Al Sadd have 29 points (nine wins, two draws and one defeat). They have the best goal difference of +39, having scored 50 goals and conceded 11.

Al Sadd are the side with most Qatar League titles (13) and Al Gharafa, who managed to finish fourth last season, do not lag behind when it comes to history, tradition and performance.

Al Gharafa are sixth on 18 points (five wins, as many defeats and three draws) to have a goal difference of +8 (25 goals for and 17 against).

Al Gharafa will be eager to get back to winning path after suffering a heartbreak against Al Sailiya in Week 13.

Al Sadd also have the likes of Gabi Fernandez, Akram Afif, Hassan Al Haydous, Pedro, Hamed Ismail and Abdelkarim Hassan, who was just named the best player in Asia.

Al Gharafa have in their ranks players such as Wesley Sneijder, Vladimir Weiss, Diogo Amado, Mehdi Taremi and Ahmed Alaaeldin.

Al Sadd and Al Gharafa had played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
