Al Rayyan drew five matches and lost just one, while Al Sadd drew two games and lost four. The goal difference is same for both sides (+19). Al Rayyan scored 33 and conceded 14, whereas Al Sadd scored 45 and conceded 26.
Al Rayyan, nicknamed The Lions, collected four points from their last two matches. In contrast, Al Sadd could bag only two points from their last two games and that was a big setback for The Wolves in their bid to retain the league shield.
Al Rayyan had beaten Al Sadd 4-2 in the first-leg Qatar Clasico this season.
