QNB Stars League Week 19 — Al Kharaitiyat vs Qatar SC

Published on: 12 March 2019

Al Kharaitiyat’s confidence will be sky-high when they take on Qatar SC in Week 19 of the QNB Stars League on Thursday, 14th March. The kick-off is at 20:15 at the Al Khor Stadium.

Al Kharaitiyat punched above their weight in the last two rounds, registering victories against Umm Salal (1-0) and Al Gharafa (3-0).

A win against Qatar SC will not only help them complete a hat-trick of victories, but will also do a world of good in their fight to avoid relegation.

The Thunders are the bottom side with nine points (three victories and 15 defeats). They have a goal difference of -34 (15 goals for and 49 against), the most by any team. Al Kharaitiyat are also the side with most number of defeats in the 12-team tournament.

Qatar SC are positioned 10th with 16 points (four victories, as many draws and 10 defeats). Their goal difference is -18 (16 goals for and 34 against).

The Kings are coming off two consecutive defeats (1-3 against Al Khor in Week 17 and 1-8 against leaders Al Sadd in Week 18). They have not won a game ever since the QNB Stars League resumed after the long winter break, having been held goalless by Al Shahania in Week 16.

Qatar SC, who beat Al Kharaitiyat 2-0 in the first leg, will also be keen to put behind the disappointment of a huge defeat they suffered at the hands of Al Sadd.
