Qatar Stars League (QSL) CEO Mr. Hani Taleb Ballan congratulated Al Sadd on winning the 2020 Qatar Cup, the cup of Pride and Glory, after they beat Al Duhail 4-0 in the final on Friday.
Mr. Hani, on his behalf and on behalf of all staff of the QSL, hailed the Club’s Board of Directors, technical and administrative staff, players and fans for being the deserving winners of the prestigious championship after putting in great efforts.
He also praised the levels exhibited by the Al Duhail and Al Sadd teams in the title clash.
The QSL CEO stressed the fact that the technical level of the tournament in general was high and everyone enjoyed the outstanding performances in semifinals by the four teams (Al Sadd, Al Duhail, Al Sailiya and Al Rayyan) as they all brought out strong competition in order to reach the final and thus win the Qatar Cup, to which the QSL attaches great attention as well as importance through special arrangements, in co-operation with partners and stakeholders.
He also thanked all stakeholders in this edition of the tournament.
“I would like to thank the sponsors, partners and supporters, who enriched the championship with their support and active participation, and also the media, the Host Broadcaster and all those associated with the media for their efforts that contributed towards building bridges in terms of communication with all sections of the football system. All that aligns with the vision of QSL, which seeks continued co-operation and co-ordination with the parties concerned in the upcoming tournaments with an aim to fulfil its aspirations and achieve common goals," the top QSL official said.
Mr. Hani concluded by saying, “At the end of the championship, we hope we succeeded in organising it in the best possible way on all fronts.”
