The Match Analysis course, organised by the Qatar Stars League’s (QSL) Football Development Department from 11th to 14th February, was specially noted for the attendance of Qatari, Kuwaiti and Omani officials.

The four-day course, which drew overwhelming response and positive feedback from all participants, was conducted in association with the Al Kass Under-17 International Cup. Sessions were held from 8.30am to 1.30pm at the Aspire Super Club.

Topics such as Introduction to Match Analysis, Tasks and Responsibilities of Performance Analyst, Managing Match Analysis through Dartfish programmes and Analysis of the reports from Al Kass Under-17 International Cup were dealt with in detail.

Representatives of Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Qatar Football Association, Kuwait Football Federation, Oman Football Federation, Qatar University and Aspire attended the sessions.

QSL’s Executive Director of Competitions and Football Development (Acting) Mr. Ahmed Khellil Abbassi, who inaugurated the course, said he looked forward to having more such courses and tie-ups with brothers from Kuwait and Oman. He also hailed the participants for playing a proactive role and engaging in highly-productive sessions.

QSL’s Head of Football Development Mr. Miguel Heitor said, “Courses like this provide the attendees with additional tools with which they can analyse matches in an efficient and effective manner. We were delighted to have new analysts from different areas, including media, who sought longer duration for the course, among other suggestions, so that they get deeper insight into Match Analysis. I’m sure all that contributes to the further development of football in Qatar.”

The sessions were moderated by Mr. Samir Brikci, Performance Analyst at QSL, and Mr. Chung Mun-Seok, Lecturer at Dartfish.
