Rave reviews for QSL’s Level 1 Match Analysis Course

Doha, Qatar: Rave reviews poured in for the Qatar Stars League’s (QSL) Level 1 Match Analysis Course, held at the Al Duhail Sports Club from 9th to 13th December.

The course was organised by the QSL’s Football Development Department, in association with famous Portuguese coach as well as UEFA Instructor Prof Jorge Castelo, Belenenses Football Club’s Match Analyst Mauro Saraiva and Videobserver Match Analysis Consultancy Company.

The five-day course was conducted under the guidance of QSL’s Acting Executive Director of Football Development and Competitions Ahmed Khellil Abbassi and Head of Football Development Miguel Heitor.

The theory classes were held at the Al Duhail Press Conference room from 08:00 to 13:00.

The course focused on theoretical (Tactical System, Structure, Game’s Phases, Offensive Methods and Defensive Methods) and practical sessions (Videobserver platform and Creating Observation Analysis).

A total of 24 participants, divided into five groups, returned richer by the experience that they gained from the in-depth analyses, where they got to present, interpret and explain their views.

The course attendees ranged from players (including four national team members), coaches, referees and mediapersons. They also got a chance to analyse the QNB Stars League match between Al Sadd and Al Duhail on 11th December.

Each of them received Level 1 Match Analysis Certificate endorsed by the QSL and Videobserver Match Analysis company at the valedictory ceremony held on the final day of the course.

The first two days dealt with theory classes, while the third and fourth days focused on practical sessions. The participants presented their analyses of the 2018 FIFA World Cup final match played between France and Croatia on the fourth day.
