Ghana Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan is highly expected to a return to his former club Sunderland five years after leaving the Black Cats, according to local media reports.
Footballmadeinghana has reported Gyan will be in England by the end of the week seal up the deal.
The former Stade Rennais star is set to quit Chinese side Shanghai SIPG with a loan move reported to be on the cards.
Gyan had a successful spell on his debut at the Stadium of Light where he scored 10 in 31 league appearances.
The following season, he played just three matches and the club received a mouth-watering loan fee from Al Ain and decided to loan him out to the United Arab Emirates club.
