Al Duhail coach Nabil Maaloul spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 8 match against Umm Salal.
“Umm Salal are tough opponents especially because they have put up some outstanding performances this season. They have caught the attention because they have a good set of players in all departments of the game.
“Umm Salal are an organised team, so the encounter will be strong. We will take the field to win full points and thus maintain our position in the league standings. I am very confident in the ability of my players to accomplish the task the way we want to finish it.
“We are aware of the fact that Umm Salal’s coach Laurent Banide and striker Yannick Sajbo have been selected as the best in the league last month, and that speaks volumes of their abilities.
“Luis Martin and Khaled Muftah are nursing injuries. So are Assim Madibo and goalkeeper Amin Lecomte. I hope they return quickly to the squad,” said Maaloul.
