Umm Salal coach Laurent Banide spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 8 match against Al Duhail.
“It will be an enjoyable game and it is undoubtedly difficult. For us, it was an important month that passed by. It was vital to get good results against strong teams.
“We showed we can improve and play well. Indeed, we got some good results. I trust my players.
“Now, we are up against Al Duhail, one of the best teams in Asia. All games are tough. This one is especially tough. We must show what we can do. We are happy to be facing off Al Duhail.
“They are a big team with big players who have a lot of qualities. They changed coach and took some time to settle down. We do not think Al Duhail are a weakened side this season. We will give our 100 per cent against them.
“It is very important that we play this match with a high level of team spirit. We know our level. We are realistic. We have no injury worries for the past one month and that helped us a lot,” said Banide.
