Al Arabi coach Heimir Hallgrimsson spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 7 match against Qatar SC.

“We are in a position where we need to collect a large number of points in the coming weeks and this target starts with our match against Qatar SC. We know very well that it is a difficult match because the opponent is a good side, well organized and strong team tactically.

“We are missing a number of key players due to injury, but the positive thing is that there are injured players who are improving quickly and we hope to see some new faces against Qatar SC. I commend the club's medical staff for their efforts to get everyone fit as soon as possible. They are working extremely hard.

“I do not think that losing against Al Sadd last week will have a great impact on the team. The players have performed well and Al Sadd are the best team in Asia at the moment. Of course, the difference in quality was big for us to win the match,” said Hallgrimsson.”

Al Arabi player Ibrahim Nasser Kalla said, “We are facing a strong side. It is important to win this match and pick up points in order to return to the winning path. We always aspire to be at the top of the table and to achieve this we know - as a team - that we must work hard and stay focused in order to win and get more points.”

“We are focusing on the next match only. It will be a difficult game, but we aim to improve our performance. I am happy with playing for Al Arabi. I will give my best as long as possible to meet the expectations of the fans and the coach.”
