Qatar SC goalkeeping coach Wesner spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Sailiya.
“Now that we have exited from the Amir Cup and Ooredoo Cup, we can focus fully on the league. We are looking to win against Al Sailiya and improve our position in the table. That is the biggest motivation for players. We must do our best to beat Al Sailiya.
“It is not easy to bow out of two tournaments within one week, but life always gives you a new opportunity. Now we have before us Al Sailiya match, in which we must do everything in order to achieve victory.
“This type of matches is very difficult, especially when you see how close are the teams’ points. Qatar SC have 16 points and Al Sailiya 17. That gives the players extra motivation.
“Al Sailiya are a strong side and they have been consistent in the past seasons. That is why they qualified for the AFC Champions League play-off. Whatever the case, we will fight hard to win,” said Wesner.
