Al Duhail coach Nabil Maaloul spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 12 match against Al Shahania.
“This is an important match for us because it is the first game of the second leg. We want to continue at the same pace and we know that we are having a difficult game against a team that faced a number of difficulties. In the first leg, they managed to present themselves well in many matches.
“We do not look only at the statistics, but on our preparations for each game. This season, we try to avoid any slip-ups and just think about achieving positive results in all games by keeping our performance up.
“I expect a difficult game, but as I always say to my players, they make the game easy or difficult. We are facing a tricky side, so we must focus more on the defence and offence.
“We do not care about the fact that we are the leaders after the first leg and that the league title is in our sights. As I said before, the league will only be decided in the last few weeks. Although Al Sadd stumbled against Al Ahli, they came back strongly against Umm Salal,” said Maaloul.
