Al Gharafa coach Christian Gourcuff spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 7 match against Al Kharaitiyat.
“We cannot accept the defeat to Al Duhail in the previous round. We are trying to forget that. We have had some players missing through injuries.
“When you play opposite Al Duhail, you have to be at your best. You have to run fast.
“We have to fight more against Al Kharaitiyat than we did in the last match. Every game is difficult. We have only seven points from six games. We are staying all focused for this match.
“Overall, we have provided good quality in all games so far. We paid the price for committing some silly mistakes against Umm Salal. We have to improve in defence.
“You play a bad game and you cannot expect to win it. We want to prove our quality in the next match. We can win every game.
“It has been our policy to give opportunities to young players and help them come through the ranks. You can expect to see them in action in the coming games as well,” said Gourcuff.
