Al Kharaitiyat coach Yousef Adam spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 6 match against Al Rayyan.
“We go into this game in high spirits after having won over Al Khor in the last round of the league and we seek to double our efforts. Our journey is on course in the long league championship and we achieve distinguished results.
“The difficulty of this clash lies in the fact that Al Rayyan aspire to win the league title this season and they are coming from a loss to Al Duhail. It is natural that they will play the game strongly with the aim of compensation, so we will play a very strong match against Al Rayyan.
“Thank God, the past period witnessed the return of a number of players who were absent in the previous games due to injuries and God willing, the team will be ready with all the players.
“(Diego) Aguirre’s departure as Al Rayyan coach or his stay does not matter to me. I do not follow that and it will not have an effect because my thinking is about my team only and equipping it with a great focus about the match and the way in which it is fought.
“I am really satisfied with the team’s ranking in the league, but it is certain that we always aspire to put up our best in the upcoming matches and to win as many matches as possible,” said Yousef.
