Al Gharafa coach Slavisa Jokanovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 16 match against Al Sailiya.
“The league is nearing its end, so we are required to collect more points in order to stay in the top four. We started the league well, but we faced different circumstances that affected our level. Now, all players are ready to play except Muad Hassan who will be absent. We are looking for victory against Al Sailiya.
“The loss against Al Markhiya in the Amir Cup left a negative impact on the team, after that we worked to make a positive reaction. In the previous week’s match against Al Ahli, we missed something. We scored first, but Al Ahli equalled, even if the team achieved victory, I will not be satisfied because of the image that the team showed, we were so far from our level.
“But I am happy that the players work hard during training. We have a whole group of players and we have to trust that we can do better in the next stage,” said Jokanovic.
