Umm Salal coach Laurent Banide spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 9 match against Qatar SC.
“We are awaiting the match against Qatar SC. They had started well, but suffered a decline in form afterwards. However, they have improved a lot of late.
“Qatar SC are a team with good attacking players and they have a player like Samuel Eto’o who can win a match on his own.
“During the break, we worked more. The QSL Cup game was an opportunity to try out players in different positions. In general, we are trying to find solutions. We prepare our strategy for every game.
“All matches in the league are difficult, but when you start well and implement the appropriate tactics, the situation will be better.
“Qatar SC had won their last game against Al Kharaitiyat, so they will enter the match high on confidence.
“We have a number of players with minor injuries and we will see their fitness before finalizing the team,” said Banide.
