Al Sadd lose to China’s Chongqing Lifan

QNB Stars League leaders Al Sadd lost 2-3 to China’s Chongqing Lifan in a friendly match played on Saturday.

The friendly was part of Al Sadd’s preparations for the rest of QNB Stars League, which will resume on 14th February, and other competitions. They will play hosts to Al Khor in Week 16 on 16th February.

The Wolves are leading the QNB Stars League table with 38 points after 15 rounds.

The game gave coach Jesualdo Ferreira an opportunity to test youngsters in the absence of Qatar internationals.

The Al Sadd team consisted of Saud Al Hajri in goal, Abdullah Ismail, Hussein Bahzad, Hamed Ismail and Mahmoud Nader in defence, Gabi Fernandez, Yasser Abubakr, Adam Faisal and Ali Asad in the middle, and Baghdad Bounedjah, Hassan Ahmed, Khalid Yazidi, Saud Al Nasr, Meshaal Ibrahim and Hussein Al Malki.
