In line with the Qatar Stars League’s (QSL) keenness to further develop the professional football system and benefit from the experience as well as expertise of international sports institutions and clubs, its Competitions & Football Development department organized a Questions & Answers session with top German Bundesliga club FC Bayern Munich’s Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidzic and team manager Kathleen Kruger at the Al Aziziyah Boutique Hotel on Monday, the 7th of January.
Bayern are having their winter camp in Doha for the ninth year in a row at the Aspire Zone, as they prepare for the tough times ahead.
The interactive session was held in the presence of QSL’s Acting Executive Director of Competitions & Football Development Mr. Ahmed Khellil Abbassi, with the participation of a number of sporting directors of QNB Stars League clubs, QSL, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy and Aspire Academy representatives.
Mr. Abbassi welcomed all attendees and Bayern officials.
The purpose of the session was to learn from the best practices related to roles and responsibilities, innovation, leadership, scouting, recruitment, football management and strategic planning, among other matters.
Salihamidzic took the opportunity to thank the State of Qatar for hosting Bayern’s camp year after year in Doha, where all members of the squad are working hard while enjoying the excellent facilities and conditions.
The 42-year-old himself is an iconic figure in world football, especially Bayern, where he played for nine seasons and won the Bundesliga six times besides one Champions League trophy, before playing for Juventus for four seasons.
